The Cockburn Cougars will commence their campaign on the road for the West Coast Classic, as Basketball WA released the 9-week season fixture today.

Our Cougar men and women will face Rockingham away to open the season on July 25, before returning for a home-opener a week later against the Joondalup Wolves on August 1.

This will likely be the first home game Cougar fans get the chance to see Perth Wildcat Luke Travers in the blue and gold, an exciting talent that will be worth the price of admission alone.

The Cougar Family will play seven home games across the season, while also heading as far north as Geraldton in week six.

Excitingly, our teams will head to the new Willetton Basketball Stadium to take on the Tigers in week 9, before finishing the season at home to the Perry Lakes Hawks on September 19.

The West Coast Classic presents a unique opportunity to prepare for season 2021, for coaches to try a different tactics, and for athletes to be pushed out of their comfort zone.

The beauty is, you’ll be able to see all of it live. Spectators are able to attend all games in 2020 (subject to any changes in Government restrictions), which provides a wonderful opportunity for the Cougar Family to familiarise themselves with our men and women ahead of a big 2021.
